Shall We Go? Wovenfree Custom Shop x Wildlight Glassworks. We’re so excited to have connected with a kindred spirit like Colleen Newcomb of Wildlight. Her imaginative & superiorly constructed stained glass designs have inspired us for quite a while. Here we feature her new Shall We Go artwork in detailed embroidery with over 150,000 layered stitches inlaid directly into the denim back panel…

We start with a brand new premium Levi’s denim trucker jacket. The Shall We Go embroidery takes about a full day on the sewing machine. Then we complete the design by carefully sewing Deadstock vintage jacquard ribbon into the front yokes. These native Jacquards were woven over 50 years ago on the original perforated card looms & remain in mint condition. We cut these pieces from the original rolls.

Dark Star Inspiration…Colleen is a stained glass artist from Kentucky who discovered her passion for working with glass 6 years ago. Her inspiration comes in large part from Nature & Music, especially Grateful Dead. Her unique approach and clean craftwork make her pieces super coveted by Heads of all kinds.
