Each hat features a piece of the original Deadstock raw jacquard cut from the same rolls used by The Ace Guitar Strap Company to craft Jimi Hendrix’ infamous guitar strap in the late 1960’s. Originally woven on an early perforated card loom, this all cotton Jacquard is nearly 60 years old & remains in pristine condition. Check the gallery for photos of Jimi’s original guitar strap and the raw Deadstock textile rolls.

We located the very last yardage of this vintage textile in a warehouse that was housing the remaining Jacquard rolls from when Ace Co discontinued their guitar strap collection. We’ve coveted it in our studio for 25+ years. It was finally high time to sew up the last piece.
